Arrowtown Housing Cooperative | Mission and Houses

Arrowtown is an urban housing cooperative with a mission to provide affordable, sustainable housing in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Over the course of the next several years, Arrowtown will set out to demonstrate its stability and effectiveness as a member-governed cooperative and potential source of urban housing solutions. Through careful, long-term planning we will secure the necessary support and financing to move forward in purchasing a permanent home for the AHC.

Current Arrowtown members live in one of two households. Each house is managed and operated by members. It is through those efforts that Arrowtown compliments the sustainable lifestyles of its members.

The first house, Bedford House, is located in Prospect Park, Minneapolis. ProspectPark is a historic neighborhood that plays host to beautiful streets and gardens, friendly and outgoing neighbors, the highest point in Minneapolis and Minnesota's only Frank Lloyd Wright house. The Greenway is a short, easy bike ride from the house and MetroTransit's 16/50 bus line is less than a two block walk.

In Saint Paul, the Manse (Arrowtown's second household) sits in the Macalester-Groveland neighborhood, right next to Macalester College. The Manse is Arrowtown's most walk-able house, with groceries, bakery, coffee shops, restaurants, hardware store, drug store, high frequency public transportation, Summit Ave bike lanes, HourCar and more all within three blocks.
